Experimentation Elite Awards Categories, Criteria & FAQs
Looking to enter the Experimentation Awards? Read our entry criteria and frequently asked questions.
Is this really for me or my company?
Yes – we want to hear from everyone, small or large companies, big teams or solo practitioners. You don’t have to be a huge organisation or an industry name to win, because we are looking for excellence and critical thinking that can be found everywhere. Just like experimentation, if you don’t enter the awards, you won’t find out if your idea was a winner or not.
What entry categories do you have?
See below.
Is the process complicated?
No, we’ve created a very simple form where you can upload text, pictures, slides or other information we’ll need to judge your entry. Entry form will open early 2024.
What information do I need to apply?
If this is an individual or team entry, we need a few details about why you are nominating them for an award. For experiments and campaigns, we’ll need some details about the test and background. To help you win, we’ve put together a video walkthrough of what the judges are looking for, see below.
What are the judges looking for?
Watch the 10 minute video guide, below, put together by our judging panel, which uses data and examples to explain what makes a ‘winning entry’. If you want to know how people won last year, what they included and what you should tell us, do watch the video.
How long will it take?
Since the core information we need is about your experiment, you will most likely already have visualisations, data or testing results you can reuse. We will need you to give us some additional background and context about your experiment but for most companies, the submission is around 1300-1500 words in length.
Why enter the awards?
These awards are judged by leaders in the experimentation and optimisation space who get to see thousands of tests every year. Winning one is a badge of excellence for your company or you as a practitioner – that amongst your respected peers, you were judged to be a class above everyone else.
What data and figures will you need from our testing?
In order to check the statistical validity of your experiments, we will need information about the numbers of people tested and the actions they took. We don’t share these sensitive or commercial aspects of your entry – this is for the judges eyes and validation work only. If you can’t share this information, it makes it almost impossible to judge the quality of your work.
How will you handle sensitive information?
We have a single secure repository for all judging info with fine grained access controls for only the judge and organiser roles. All the information you upload, our judging notes, scores and discussions are kept in one place rather than emailed everywhere. The judges will discuss the details of your experiments privately and these are never shared with anyone else.
